London, Day One

Well, our first day in London we actually arrived quite late. There wasn’t time to do much—but it was September the First. Which means my friends and I were headed to King’s Cross Station to board the Hogwarts Express, on the twentieth anniversary of Harry Potter’s first fateful trip to Hogwarts.

Well, true to my luck, Platform 9 had construction going on (due to the upcoming Olympics—they don’t want a main transport station so ugly, I suppose) and Platform 9 ¾ had been temporarily displaced to a shack out behind Platform 1. Nevertheless, we still took many pictures.

Later we found out it was illegal to run around the Platforms without a ticket. Oops.

On our way back we stopped at a Pizzaexpress, apparently a popular chain over here, and then walked back to our hotel. That’s it for day one.
